About Dr. Mary Beth Rucki

With over 30 years of experience as a psychiatric nurse and nurse practitioner, I bring a wealth of knowledge to my practice. I hold a BSN from West Virginia University, a Master's from the University of Pittsburgh, and a Doctorate from Robert Morris University. Throughout my career, I have worked in various settings, including inpatient, outpatient, and emergency care, across all age groups.

I specialize in treating a range of mental health disorders, including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and OCD for both adults and children. While I do prescribe medications when necessary, I also advocate for a holistic approach to mental health. This includes promoting lifestyle changes such as improved sleep, a balanced diet, regular exercise, and strong social support.

I am open to treating patients with co-occurring substance use issues or eating disorders, provided they are working with an experienced therapist or are stable in recovery. However, I do not treat autism spectrum disorders or adults seeking an ADHD diagnosis.

Please note that I do not prescribe benzodiazepines for daily use, as these are intended for short-term or occasional use only. Additionally, I do not provide disability documentation but can offer FMLA documentation after two years of patient care.

My integrative approach emphasizes the connection between mental and physical health. I believe that lifestyle choices significantly impact well-being and often recommend non-drug interventions like supplements, tai chi, acupuncture, relaxation techniques, and light therapy.
